Personally we favor the work from Elliott Wave International as it provides data more easily consumable by beginners, but once you become familiar with how Elliott Waves work and wish to devote the time looking at the waves yourself, this blog can act as an excellent supplement to your research.
Broadly, it is important to understand that Elliott Waves do not seem to always work, but there are times when the social conditions, fundamentals and the waves align beautifully and the results are uncannily accurate, down to the smallest twists in pricing. This should not be surprising - every methodology of analyzing stock markets - fundamentals, technical analysis, mass psychology analysis, sentiment analysis, cycles - all have their strengths and weaknesses, and the wise investor learns when to incorporate the various signals into their thinking and when to ignore them. Elliott waves are no exception to this, and one must learn when the interpretation is aligning correctly with all the external factors and to bet big on the direction the waves are indicating.
Best of lucks!
